Therapeutic massage is a general term that describes any type of massage modality that helps relieve pain, reduce stress, and work on a specific problem. This can be a relaxing style of bodywork, and the foundation for deep tissue massage. It's a combination of strokes to help the body improve its circulation, flush the circulatory system, release tight/sore muscles, restore range of motion, and to relieve pain. It includes using the right amount of pressure to address your need, and sometimes that's a lighter touch.

Deep Tissue is a style that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of muscle tissue in the body. This uses slow strokes and firm pressure on contracted areas. The method is highly effective to help release chronic aches and pains, past lingering injuries, built up tension, and contracted areas such as stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders. Deep Tissue is used to break up scar tissue and physically break down muscle "knots" or adhesions (bands of painful, rigid tissue) that can disrupt circulation and cause pain, limited range of motion, and inflammation. At the beginning of the massage, lighter pressure is generally applied to warm up and prep the muscles. Specific techniques are then applied. It can also help to get rid of old patterns that are no longer serving you

Trigger Point uses concentrations of pressure on each trigger point to prevent cycles of muscle pain and spasms. Trigger Points are tender areas of tension similar to accupressure points, except they occur in the belly of muscle tissue rather than along the energy pathways of the body. Trigger Point Massage provides benefits after just one session. The effects can be lasting and profoundly transformative

Myofascial Release is a very effective technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. This is the connective tissue (fascial) which is the superficial layer of tissue that lies on top of the muscle. Trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures create Myofascial restrictions that can produce tensile pressures of approximately 2,000 pounds per square inch on pain sensitive structures that do not show up in many of the standard tests (x-rays, etc). When the fascia is tight, it can restrict us in many ways, leaving us feeling tight, and have lack of movement for certain activities.

Warm Salt Stones can be added to help release tight muscles in some areas of concentration. Warm salt stones create an incomparable experience you will love. Not only do you enjoy the warmth of the stones, but also get the benefits the salt offers. Salt stones emit healthy, rejuvenating ions that create a feeling of cheer and well-being. They offer a trace amount of concentrated minerals which are beneficial and healing to the body
